Pudding House is the largest literary small press in the U.S.  The editor, Jennifer Bosveld, specializes in poetry chapbooks.  The chapbooks are displayed at The Annual Spring Showcase at Poets House, Soho/New York City, acquired at several major Special Collections among them Ohio State University Libraries, Kent State University Libraries, SUNY/Buffalo and other academic and private libraries, and kept permanently in print.  Click on the site for information about submissions and ordering.  Jen replies promptly on submitted manuscripts, unless she is traveling for publishing events.

Cellar Stories is the best college level used bookstore in Rhode Island.  The store is located on the second floor in a building in downtown Providence, but I can attest that it began in a cellar in the 1980s.  Mike Chandley, the owner/operator, now has approximately 25,000 books available online, which is about 30% of his inventory.

A ning is an online platform for creating social networks and social websites. The concept was founded in 2005 and has been growing exponentially. The book market network is a site for book authors, self-publishers, book publishers, publicists, marketers and other related professionals. On the site, you may have your own page and post photos, videos, comments and replies to the posts of others. You may add friends and email them privately. You may create your own social network from this site that can be inclusive or exclusive. The webmaster for the book market network is John Kremer, the acclaimed author of the popular book, 1001 Ways To Market Your Book. John will email you periodic tips for marketing, if you provide an email address. At this site, I use my name: T.R. Catanzarite.

Book Square is a site that provides contemporary articles on the publishing industry in all its diverse and creative aspects. It uploads just a few articles at a time so that the reader is not overwhelmed. You may comment on the articles. I have done so.

Murphy's is the most popular pub in downtown Providence, RI.  It's an all-American place, as an Irish tavern with a Jewish deli owned and managed by a woman of Swedish background with an Italian married name.  It's a great place to unwind with friendly patrons and staff.  Ruth Ferrazzano has kept up the ambience of Murphy's since it moved to 100 Fountain Street from its former location a few blocks away.  The new kitchen allows Ruth's daughter, Julie, to display her cooking talents with a superb menu.  Often on late night Fridays and Saturdays, it's the most happening bar in town.  I've been going to Murphy's longer than I'd care to admit.
